My favorite teacher was my 5th grade teacher, Mr. Washington. We did a cool experiment with rats. One rat we fed healthy food and the other rat we gave junk food. Can you guess what the rats looked like?

I have so many wonderful memories from teaching 5th grade. My favorite memories are the 8 manatee trips, 5th grade fun days, and field days. I have loved working with the other teachers in 5th grade and getting to make such great friends.

I have so many great memories at Waccamaw. Our school has the best teachers in the whole world. The students make it easy to come to work each day. It has been a wonderful experience watching so many of the students journey from Kindergarten through fifth grade. This fifth grade class has been such a great group of kids. I will be sad to see you all go on to middle school. I know you are all prepared to do great things with your lives and will remember all of the fun things we have done at WES. Good luck!
Love, Mrs. Satterley

Wow! Where has the year gone? It seems like this has been such a fast trip this year. One of my most memorable experiences was creating The Rain Garden for all of our students to use. At first, I thought, "this will be a piece of cake," and then I realized how wrong I was. It took hours to choose the perfect plants, design the garden, and choose some amazing materials to use next year within the garden's structure. I also enjoyed seeing many of our students become famous by doing interviews with the newspapers and the local television stations. I just hope they remember me when they get older!! In addition, the yearbook was a great time. I love the way all of our "Yearbook Club Members" were so enthusiastic on taking pictures and sharing the pictures they took. It was amazing to see how excited a camera makes a student. I look forward to more fun activities next year and wish our 5th graders a great journey to middle school!!
Love,
Mrs. Ellis

I think the best memory is when I look back at all my teachers, Mrs.Beeson, Mrs.Wiley, and finally the best one out of the lot, Mr.Reyes! He's taught me beyond
5th grade standard! He is awesome and real nice when you just do something that every teacher needs that makes you and them feel good, possibly an award too! Respect!

I loved the 4th grade field trip to Charleston. I wish I could say the manatee trip but my dad wouldn't let me. He said he had the money he just didn't want me to go :( I cried and cried and cried and when ever I think about it I still cry. Look at me I am shedding small tears. Today when Mrs. Ellis showed us the pictures I had to calmly talk to myself to get over it.
